The Rural Gone Urban Foundation, Inc: Celebrating 15 Years of Hunt With Giving

Hunt has significantly grown since its modest beginnings in 2009 when our company was based out of Will & Beth’s Washington, D.C. apartment. (Learn more about Hunt’s journey in our founders’ story.) Now, as we celebrate our 15th year in business, we can think of no better way to celebrate than to share our success with others!

This year, we’ve selected 15 charities to donate $1,000 each towards their missions, resulting in $15,000 total in gifts overall! Now, enough about us. Let’s talk about this month’s organization, The Rural Gone Urban Foundation, Inc!

Who is The Rural Gone Urban Foundation, Inc.

An organization formed from resilience, courage and the power of community, Rural Gone Urban Foundation is a nonprofit organization designed to “uplift women navigating various life obstacles, including entrepreneurship, education and health.” It was birthed in March of ‘22 through Brooke Clay Taylor’s personal experiences of overcoming obstacles and supporting others facing similar battles.

Brooke Taylor’s journey is one filled with hardships, including the loss of her father to cancer as well as her own battle with triple-negative breast cancer. However, she persevered through these experiences, which fueled her determination to help other brave and resilient women by founding the platform we know today as Rural Gone Urban Foundation.

The foundation’s initiatives include, but are not limited to, small business grants, “love bombs” and scholarships, all of which help further their mission to make a tangible difference in the lives of rural women. They aim to “challenge stereotypes, break down barriers and build a brighter future for women who often feel marginalized or overlooked.”

With the funds provided by Hunt, The Rural Gone Urban Foundation, Inc. will continue to grow their Love Bomb Program. What is The Love Bomb Program? The foundation awards judgment-free grants to women battling cancer, encouraging recipients to use the funds to “be selfish.” This could mean taking a trip, buying milestone gifts for loved ones or using the funds however they see fit to have a few moments where

cancer is not driving the bus. When Brooke was newly diagnosed, she was given the

opportunity to provide milestone gifts for her daughter’s high school graduation, college graduation, wedding, and first baby gifts.

We are so proud to support such an amazing foundation, and encourage you to see how you can help make a positive difference in the lives of those around you. To learn more about The Rural Gone Urban Foundation, Inc, click here
